Underfloor heating loop layoutUnderfloor heating loops room by room, with loop length checks
FloorHeatGenius Pro automatically draws wet underfloor heating loops into the selected rooms in a spiral or serpentine pattern, keeps an eye on the maximum loop length, and calculates the pipe length, flow rate and balancing for each manifold.
Planned features
This is what we are planning for the first release. Details may still change during development and testing.
Automatic layout
Spiral (counterflow) or serpentine pattern, with a denser edge zone along exterior walls. Irregular floor plans are split into cells, and for each room the plugin keeps the variant that best fits the target length with the fewest turns.
Excluded zones
No pipe goes under a bath, shower tray, kitchen units, built-in wardrobes or a fireplace; these can be drawn or taken from marked components.
Loop length checks and splitting
The loop length is the actual drawn path, leader pipes included. If a room exceeds the maximum, the plugin splits it into loops of nearly equal length. Loop labels show the length, coloured green, yellow or red.
Manifold and leader pipes
A suggested manifold position with the shortest leader pipes, sizing from the number of loops and the flow rate, with a list of accessories. Leader pipes run through doorways, and the plugin checks how many pipes fit through a door.
Expansion joints
A suggested joint plan for large areas: heating loops may not cross a movement joint, only leader pipes in a protective sleeve. The draft can serve as the basis of the final joint plan.
Calculations and reports
Flow rate, pressure drop, balancing values and flow temperature. Loop table, manifold table, compliance report, bill of materials by coil, coil cutting plan and a pressure test record template.

Important: FloorHeatGenius Pro is not a full heat load calculator: you enter the heat load of the rooms. It does not replace a professional design, and the final joint plan is the responsibility of the building designer.
